Yesterday we decided to try something new and brought out some "Straw Connectors". The kids had never before used these in class. At first a couple different students started building a couple different things but after about 15 minutes they had all been connected into an enormous structure. It was awesome! The structure started to take on some abstract shapes in addition to the more conventional designs that it started with. The students were working around as well as in it and we were all witness to superb cooperation and teamwork. Here are some pictures of the students in action:
I hope the pictures can convey how much fun the students had and how cool it was!
That is indeed Awesome Architecture! What fun to build something so high! We enjoy taking a peek into your classroom! Thanks for sharing.

One more thing, I love the serious looks of concentration on your faces! What dedication!
ReplyDeleteBoy! oh Boy! That mega structure with the cubes is absolutely fantastic. It must have been soooo exciting to be able to go inside it and sit...like your own igloo! Next thing you will be building bridges ,,,to walk across the ocean to Singapore!!
