| Here we are picking out our friends patterns. |
Today we had our first Skype with our friends in Japan! It was really cool! After conversing on Twitter we finally got to converse with them in real time. They were very nice and we enjoyed talking to them.

Both our classes decided to use our iPads to Skype because it would allow us to move around easily and show each other our classrooms and the cool things we have inside them. They all introduced themselves to us and were all very polite. We also introduced ourselves to them. They showed us some patterns they had made. We thought that they were very cool.

We shared a book we like, our letter sound cards, and gave them a bit of room tour. It was very easy to show them around using the iPads. We would have liked to talk and share longer but we had to eat snack and then go to PE.
We look forward to the next time we can Skype with them!
Hello Everyone,
ReplyDeleteYour pictures and the fact you were able to talk with Japan is totally awesome. Even today in the US most people do not even use Skype, what a powerful connection tool. The interesting thing is to try to come up with a way to use Skype to bond more with people and cultures, to lower barriers.
Have fun Quinn's Grandad Kim
KinderPris says: Thanks for your comment. We like to use Skype a lot. We are going to have a Skype dance party with our friends in Japan.
