Counting By 2's and 5's

We are working on counting by 2's and 5's in math. To make this fun and hands on we printed off two sets of numbers and laminated them. One set we use to count by 2's and another set to count by 5's. The set for counting by 2's goes to 50 and the set that we use to count by 5's goes all the way to 100!

To begin we mix up all the numbers in one set and pass them out to each student. Then we see who has the first number and then go from there. After we did it a couple times we used a timer to see how long it took and then tried to beat that time the next day. We're getting pretty fast! Here are some pictures of us in action.

  1. Well I know you'll all be able to play hide and seek properly as counting on 5s is great for this game....it gives everyone time to hide if the IN person counts to 100!
