Dots Around the World

Back in September our class was invited by a teacher in Thailand (@nzchrissy) to participate in a collaborative project called Dots Around the World. It was focused around the book "The Dot" by Peter Reynolds. If you haven't read the book here is a motion piece of the book from YouTube by Pat Malley.



As you can see it's a great little story. In the end there were 30 classes in over 17 countries participating in this project. We were very proud to be one of those classes! Here is the finished product:



We were very excited to learn that Peter Reynolds himself saw the video and was very pleased with the results.

    What a great idea! It's amazing to think what a dot can lead to. Such wonderful creations from all around the world. I shall be sure to share this post with my students. Perhaps your post will inspire them to use dots to create on our iPads!
