Alphabet Books

We are finishing up our alphabet books and we decided to share a little bit about them with you. We are very proud of all the hard work we have put into them. While making them we generally followed the same procedure. We first would sit on the carpet to discuss what the letter of the day was. We would then draw the letter on our Smartboard.  We would then brainstorm all the different words that started with that letter sound.  Then we would write all those words on our Smartboard. When we couldn't think of any more words we printed out the list we had generated. We then went to our desks and individually drew the letters. We then made drawings of many of the words we had brainstormed. Here we are sharing a little about our books.

 

I want to commend the students for being brave enough to share their stories with us. As many of us know it's not easy being filmed. If you can, take a moment to recognize the bravery of these students.
