We were lucky enough to be invited next door to bake some bread with the 4 year old class. After we washed our hands we got going. First we mixed up our ingredients and put our yeast in some warm water so that it could "wake up". Once our yeast was activated we mixed it in with our dough and added some sugar for the yeast to eat. Then we left our bread outside where it was warm. After a couple hours we checked and noticed that our bread had "risen" and was ready to go in the oven. We baked the bread in the oven. After it was good and brown we took it out of the oven and let it cool. Then we gobbled it up. Yummy, was it good!
Have a good weekend everyone.

Looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks for reading and taking the time to comment.
ReplyDeleteYum Yum I love home made bread. Looks like you are all concentrating very hard on getting the mixture just right. Isn`t it funny how it grows bigger and bigger? When you take it out of the oven it smells delicious, and you just want to eat it all up. I wish I had been there to get a slice.
ReplyDeleteSorry I didn`t comment on your Alphabet project, but Bob and I were stuck in Spain. We had to stay in the warm sunshine for an extra 3 days because there was a big cloud of dust in the sky over Scotland and it was too dangerous for the planes to fly. Wasn`t that a shame for us??
I would like to see some of your books when I come back to Balik Papan and I hope somebody wrote N for Nana.
Love,
Nana Norma xx
Did the dough smell? Could you smell the yeast? Did the yeast bubble?
ReplyDeleteWas Zac in the 4 year old group?
P.S. Dont knead the dough for too long or it goes like a rock!
